Managing Partner

Marshall J. Morris

Marshall Morris has extensive experience with middle market to large companies in the media/entertainment, technology, automotive, construction, transportation, consumer goods, environmental and industrial equipment industry sectors. He is a specialist in leveraged growth environments, turnarounds, restructuring, financial leadership, mergers & acquisitions, and building financial infrastructure in private equity backed and publicly traded companies.

 

Prior to founding Group125, Marshall was a partner with Tatum LLC, CFO for American Furniture Manufacturing, a private equity owned high volume manufacturer, and CFO for CECO Environmental, a publicly traded capital equipment and engineered products manufacturer. He served as Treasurer for Calgon Carbon, a publicly traded specialty chemical manufacturer, and Trico Products, a formerly publicly traded tier one automotive parts supplier. In addition, Marshall founded Cynmar Advisors LLC, a management consulting firm and spent eight years in public accounting, five of those with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He majored in accounting and holds a B.S. of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Management and is a CPA. Marshall is a FINRA Registered Representative of StillPoint Capital and holds Series 63 and 82 securities licenses.

  • Provided financial leadership to a newly created $100 million spinoff from a multi-billion dollar information services company

  • Led a turnaround and restructuring for an $80 million capital equipment manufacturer

  • Directed and actively managed the financial resources for a $170 million furniture manufacturer in financial distress 

  • Led a cross-functional team to complete a financial and distribution systems conversion at a $280 million office products and computer hardware distributor 

  • Improved working capital efficiency by $10 million for a $350 million automotive parts supplier
